DESIGN PHILOSOPHY | Exactly what you dreamed of — just not in the way you expected
SARAH CARMEN ROBERTSON

Hi, I’m Sarah.

I hold a Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) and a Diploma of Interior Design & Decoration from Billy Blue College of Design | Torrens University Australia. My approach to design is grounded in conceptual thinking and contemporary practice, guided by a commitment to creativity, practicality, and individuality. I aim to create interiors that are not only functional, but also meaningful, engaging, and reflective of the people and contexts they serve.

While my professional experience has been primarily in the commercial sector, I have a growing interest in residential and hospitality design. I am drawn to spaces that are moody, textural, playful, and unexpected — interiors that balance utility with emotional resonance, and that are deeply tailored to the needs and experiences of their users.

I value the integration of concept and technical resolution, bringing a considered and reliable approach to documentation, joinery detailing, spatial planning, and user-focused outcomes. Beyond design, I am inspired by atmosphere wherever it occurs — in film, food, conversation, and spaces imbued with a sense of mystery and depth — and I seek to translate that sensitivity into the environments I create.
